The project

For 50 years, “trend” has been Austria's leading magazine for leaders in businesss. Guided by the motto "We move the economy," the magazine provides in-depth weekly reports on current economic trends, insightful analyses and commentary, and expert advice on investments, careers, and culture. The objective was to modernize the trend.at website and establish a foundational design that could be adapted for other publishing brands such as woman, gusto, news, and autorevue, while preserving each brand's unique identity.

The approach

We developed a comprehensive master design system that serves as the foundation for all VGN brands. This involved an evolution of the look and feel based on the existing trend.at website, encompassing refined color palettes, striking imagery, and sophisticated typography. We introduced smooth transitions and micro-animations to create a dynamic and engaging user experience. Our close collaboration with the internal UX/UI design team ensured seamless integration and adherence to trend's rigorous standards, resulting in an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

The results

The newly developed, scalable design system enabled the successful adaptation of other VGN brands, allowing each to retain its distinctive character. The refreshed, contemporary design and enhanced user experience of trend.at have established a new benchmark for all affiliated brands. This project has reinforced trend.at's standing as a reliable and indispensable resource for economically-minded individuals, solidifying its role as a guiding force in the economic landscape.
